What is the Matchplay Golf Match Format?

Matchplay golf match format is where 2 players play against each other, head to head. Instead of playing golf against the rest of the competition field, you and your opponent compete hole by hole to win more holes that your opponent. Each player works out the score for each hole based on his or her Course Handicap, the lowest net score, being the winner of the hole and the match is won, once a player has won more holes that are available. If the match is drawn by the 18th hole, the opponents continue until a hole is won, that player being the winner.
