What is the Foresomes Golf Format?
Foursomes is a golf competition format where both players in a team of 2, using one ball per pair and alternate which player hits the tee shot so that one player hits from the odd number tees and the other, the event number tees.
The player that DID NOT hit the tee shot, takes the second shot and the pair alternate until the hole is completed. This is repeated on each hole and a match is finally won by whichever team has the lowest score, usually using match play, with each hole being won by the team that completes it in the fewest shots.
